CURRENT WORK
Worked as a freelance graphic designer for many companies and projects such as Fender Music Mexico, Baja Catering, Denz Dance Studio, Volare Trattoria, Cesun Universidad, Big Stereo and many others.
Her repertoire includes designing corporate image, logotypes, flyers, magazines, posters, websites, banners, newsletters, to design sets and costumes for a dance company’s annual festival and an extensive performing live visual mixes for the concerts of many well-known bands and dj’s (swayzak, hocico, flock of seaugulls, when in rome, nortec collective, VHS or beta, MSTRKFT, starpause, and many more).
Luisa Barajas has also had numerous art exhibitions including one in Cantabria, Spain in 2005. In 2008-2009 her visuals were exposed several times at the Museum of Contemporary Arts (MCASD) in San Diego. She also performed visuals for NORTEC COLLECTIVE, one at the MTV latin music awards(October 2008) in Guadalajara, Mexico; another at Central Park and the Apple Store in New York (July of 2010); an the most recent (August of 2010) in San Francisco, at The Independent.
At this time her and a group of her artist friends own a studio in which they work together as a collective called PR4gma in Tijuana, although she spends most of her time in San Francisco where she has begun to study and work in the film industry. Working mostly in pre-production doing graphic design, photography and websites.
Also she's very happy doing exhibitions of art & performing as VJ at events, galleries and bars all over the Bay Area.
